Ella is....

Pictures galore

I uploaded a huge batch of photos to Flickr today. Everyone is doing ok, and we're adjusting to less sleep.

Last weekend, Ella went to cousin Cole's 1st Birthday, and to Aunt Sarah's graduation party. I guess she's already a socialite. I only have a few pictures though.

Back to the grind

Ella is 3 weeks old, and today is my first day back at work. Everybody wish Lara luck with her solo time. I know she'll do great.

I'll try to get some updated photos uploaded in the next day or so.

Ella Catherine

Today, we welcome Ella Catherine into the world at 10:20AM. She's a healthy 7lb, 11oz. and 20.5in long. Everybody is doing well, and the first batch of photos can be found here.

Exciting times!

About time

A big congrats to my sister, Sarah who will be receiving her PhD shortly. She jumped through the last major hoop yesterday, and everything went well. We're quite proud.

iPhone 3.0 update

Yesterday I upgraded my iPhone to v3.0 software. It went pretty smoothly, with one minor problem. After the upgrade, when trying to browse the web over the 3G connection, I would get the following error: "Could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service".

I dropped the SIM back in my old Blackjack and the internet worked fine, so that wasn't the problem. Then I came along this post. It seems that ATT really wants you to be on the official "iPhone Data Plan" instead of their generic data service. Since I have no intention of having my account updated, likely increasing my rate, I went through the steps on that page to get back up and running. It's now working w/o any issues. Finally, copy & paste on a phone. It's sad to get excited about something so basic.

Baby update

We have the nursery 80% done, and have the current pictures here. We've also had a couple showers and have gotten a ton of great stuff. I'll add to those pictures as I get more.

Baby update

Baby Girl and Mom are doing fine. Last week, we had a 3D ultrasound. You can see pictures here and videos here.

Over the weekend we went to a 2-day class at the hospital which was really helpful, and we finished up painting/cleaning the nursery. The family helped out tremendously with the painting, but we had a few spots to touch up. The bulk of the furniture should arrive Saturday and I'll post pictures once that's in place.

Registry now online

We have finally finished up the Baby registries (mostly). We've got them setup at BabiesRus and Target. Conclusion, babies need a lot of stuff. :)

Boone/Grandfather Moutain

We took a long weekend and visited Boone, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather Mountain. We took a lot of pictures at Grandfather and I uploaded them as usual to Flickr.

It was nice to have a relaxing weekend for a change, and the weather was absolutely perfect.

Boston

We're back from Boston. Unfortunately the trip was shorter than we originally planned, but we still had a good time. The weather was pretty rough, but didn't stop us from getting out. We've uploaded our pictures here.

One special note, I had the best meal I've had in months at Atlantic Fish Co. I'd highly recommend checking it out....

Goodbye Blue Bear

This morning around 8:30, Blue passed away. We were there with him, and I hope we were able to comfort him in his final moments. It's a sad day, and the house will be totally different without Maggie and Blue. We feel blessed they were in our lives.
